Doctor My Eyes!

Jackson Brown Nov 1 2008- what a concert! (First of all, how stupid did I feel getting yelled at by an usher for taking this picture?) As you can see this is the token boot-legger photo from the concert. I feel so dangerous at 41!

I saw Jackson Brown oh, about 27 years ago ( Wow... it felt good to say that outloud!) and I was seeing this guy who ended our relationship after a "Lawyers in Love" tour in the mid 80's. ( Yup, I got dumped) For a while, any time I heard Jackson Browne I would remember his parting words. Fast forward to Denver 2008 and here I am walking hand in hand with my husband at the Jackson Browne "Time The Conquerer" at the Temple Buell last night and thinking about what an incredible artist and writer Jackson Browne is and how each of his songs can you move you and make you think about life and the next chapter. This song came to mind...
Jackson Browne, Bound for Colorado:
The days of spring have just begun
And melted snow begins to run
Aspen is a fine place where many people go
And so you're bound for colorado
Don't send me cards from where you've been
Or tell me 'bout the friends you win
But send to me a new leaf just begun to grow
And hurry home from colorado
You told me once that you would like to run away
from all the fears and all the tears you felt that day
You should know no matter where you go
You have your friends to lean upon
When you're not sure what's goin' on
And if you don't return by the summer I will know
You've found a home in colorado
And you're doing fine in colorado
