Weekend Warriors

Friday night started out pretty low key ... Andy came home, the kids ate dinner and we ventured out to dinner at La Loma. Bad idea.... First time we have ever been in public where the kids were absolute chaos! We heard this restaurant was kid friendly so we were waiting for them to stop by withe the "tortilla dough" for the kids to play with... we soon realized we were not getting any love from our server! Plan B was shoving food in our mouths at the speed or light so we could GET OUTTA THERE fast!

Saturday I thought I would take the boys to Old Navy for an hour to pick up some Fall clothes for Aris. From the moment we arrived Avery started crying- he suddenly did not like being in the stroller...every time I stopped to readjust AVery, Aris would grab handfuls of clothes and start pulling them off the hangers. Yes, I am turning into one of those moms that I hated when I was working in retail. The entire shopping experience was a blur pretty much. I rushed in, grabbed random 2T tops and pants and ran out! I literally was sweating by the time I hit the car. It was one of those days where you grit your teeth and hope you get home in one piece! AH! That night we were invited for an impromtu evening by the fire with our friends Robin and Michael. It sure was a great ending to a very stressful day! And by the way- Andy did a fantastic job in the downstair bathroom closet. Thanks honey!

Sunday we went to Golden Gate State Park for a beaufiul hike. It was the perfect Fall day- the leaves were golden, orange and red hues, the sun was shining and both boys seems to really enjoy being out and about in the wilderness! It was an amazing afternoon!

Here it is Monday now.. ugh! Is if Friday yet?
