Kabob Gone Wild!
Yes that's right... A Kabob Gone Wild happened to me this past week. I was making dinner in a rush at about 8pm-bad day, kids were upset, a contractor came over and stayed for a few hours.. it was a long ass day! I was stabbing pieces of flank steak ( not the most tender of cuts) and pushed the skewer right into my middle finger. I freaked of course and then the skewer broke off. At first I thought I had a splinter in there until I tried to remove it and Andy was like " uh... are you sure it's not embedded into your finger- look over here..." and I could see this piece of stick under my skin moving around. At that point it was 8:15 and I began to cry knowing I had to go the emergency room alone to get it removed. ( Andy showed up later right when they were cutting into my finger) They had to cut a hole in my finger in the opposite end to pull the skewer straight thru.. gross I know...I was a mess. 3 hours later and still hungry I arrived home with a toothpick in bag and Burger King chicken sandwhich in mouth. Sometimes life really sucks. The next day I had a big book break out meeting ( that's tv lingo for big meeting) and noticed my finger started to spurt blood everyhwhere. My boss actually had to tell me I had blood on my neck (from fixing my hair.) I looked down and I was a bloody mess. ( I thought I could take off my bandage for the meeting since it seemed like a big 2x4 on my middle finger....and I didn't want to draw attention.) So how was your week?
